With Fall 2026 classes beginning Aug. 24, <a href=\"https:\/\/palooza.sswb.ucf.edu\/fall-palooza-26\/\">Pegasus Palooza<\/a>, UCF\u2019s annual welcome week, kicks things off with events and activities that bring new and returning Knights together across campuses.<\/p>\n<p>From signature UCF traditions to opportunities to meet new people, get involved and have some fun before classes get into full swing, there\u2019s plenty to experience. Here\u2019s your guide to the week\u2019s events on the main campus and at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dtc.sdes.ucf.edu\/week-of-welcome\/\">UCF Downtown<\/a>. No ticket is required, and the event is open to all. Doors open at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opening Knight<\/strong><br \/>\nStudent Union<br \/>\n12 \u2013 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s the best way to get involved at UCF? Meet the Knights already doing it. Stop by the Student Union to explore student organizations, connect with current members and find your place on campus. Plus, enjoy DJs, free food, giveaways and more.<\/p>\n<h2>Monday, Aug. 24:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Welcome Back Social<\/strong><br \/>\nReflecting Pond<br \/>\n12 \u2013 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Grab complimentary sweet treats and mingle with UCF President Alexander N. Cartwright, faculty, staff and students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Movie Knight<\/strong><br \/>\nMemory Mall<br \/>\n7 \u2013 10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Grab your friends and head to Memory Mall for the Campus Activities Board\u2019s annual Movie Knight. Catch <em>Project Hail Mary<\/em> under the stars, take on a human hamster ball course and enjoy free popcorn and drinks. The event is open to all UCF students.<\/p>\n<h2>Tuesday, Aug. 25:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Taste 色花堂<\/strong><br \/>\nAddition Financial Arena<br \/>\n4 \u2013 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Experience international destinations through food, music, dance and traditions from around the world. This annual celebration brings students together to explore the many backgrounds represented at UCF and throughout the greater Orlando area while building connections and a sense of belonging.<\/p>\n<h2>Wednesday, Aug. 26:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Welcome Expo<\/strong><br \/>\nStudent Union Key West Ballroom<br \/>\n10 a.m. \u2013 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>For nearly 30 years, the <a href=\"https:\/\/kmetc.sswb.ucf.edu\/events\/expo\/\">UCF Welcome Expo<\/a> has helped Knights discover what campus \u2014 and the surrounding community \u2014 has to offer. Come try something new, meet fellow Knights and celebrate the people and traditions that make UCF Downtown and the greater Orlando area so vibrant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speed Friending<\/strong><br \/>\nDr. Phillips Academic Commons, Room 107 at UCF Downtown<br \/>\n12 \u2013 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Break the ice at Speed Friending, a fast-paced, low-pressure way to connect with fellow UCF Downtown students. Rotate through quick conversations, tackle fun icebreaker questions and see who you click with along the way. Team up with fellow Knights and four local community partners for a morning of hands-on service supporting youth and mentoring, the environment, education and literacy. Choose the cause that speaks to you, meet new people and have fun while giving back to the greater Orlando community. Students will earn three service hours for participating.<\/p>\n<p>Service sites are selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
