In the end, the field cabanas never stood a chance.

Fans refused to be denied the opportunity to celebrate the Knights鈥 epic double-overtime victory against No. 2 BYU and were determined to rush the field by whatever means necessary 鈥 including scaling down the roughly 8-foot tall structures in the north end zone.

The victory is one for the record books, marking UCF鈥檚 highest-ranked opponent ever defeated and the first win over an AP top 5 opponent in program history.

鈥淭his is the best team we鈥檝e played, I鈥檝e got so much respect for them,鈥 says UCF head coach Scott Frost. 鈥淚鈥檓 happy for UCF, a win like this has been a long time coming for us.鈥
