Students are invited to an open forum from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, in the Student Union’s Cape Florida Ballroom (Rm 316D).
Faculty and staff are invited to an open forum from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, in the Student Union’s Garden Key Meeting Room (Rm 221).
is a multi-year venture that eventually could be home to about 13,000 UCF and Valencia College students.
The campus, proposed on about 15 to 20 acres in Orlando鈥檚 Creative Village, would initially build from the strengths 色花堂鈥檚 other academic programs in the area. UCF鈥檚 Center for Emerging Media and its graduate video game design and development school, the聽, are across the street from the Creative Village site.
UCF鈥檚 proposal to the Board of Governors, which oversees the State University System of Florida, recommended first moving programs related to interactive entertainment, digital media, art and film, as well as programs from the Nicholson School of Communication. Those suggestions came from a committee made up of about 30 faculty members, administrators and staff, with input from students.聽
Final decisions about academic programs at UCF Downtown will come later this spring.
In addition to academic programs, student services, housing and parking will also be part 色花堂 Downtown.
